SCRIPT BREAKDOWN & BUDGETING SERVICES

​Script breakdown and budgeting services provide a detailed roadmap for production planning. A breakdown includes identifying all key elements in the script—such as cast, props, locations, stunts, and wardrobe—along with a suggested stripboard, elements list, and Days Out of Days (DOOD) reports tailored to your project's needs. Budgeting includes a top sheet and line item budget built from script elements, estimated shoot days, and regional cost estimates. Budgets are delivered in multiple formats (PDF, .csv, and via a live collaborative link) and include revision rounds to refine scope and align with your creative goals.

Breakdowns and budgets typically go hand in hand, and I recommend doing both to ensure accuracy and alignment across all departments. That said, I can work flexibly depending on your needs. If you already have an AD who’s completed a breakdown and can provide filming days and DOODs, I’m happy to step in and build the budget from that. I can also deliver a standalone breakdown package for you to hand off to another producer or build a budget based on pre-existing materials. While I can create a budget without a breakdown, it’s more of a shot in the dark—bundling both services together usually yields the most reliable results.
